1. Who we are

MAVENKOPAY LLC operates the Mavenkopay payment platform. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the rights you have over it.

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use Mavenkopay, we process account and contact details, KYC documents and verification results, transaction metadata, device and network signals used for fraud scoring, and dashboard activity logs.

Account data — name, work email, company, role.
Verification data — identity documents and screening outcomes.
Transaction data — amounts, timestamps, tokens, risk scores.

3. Why we process it

We process personal data to provide the platform, to meet anti-money-laundering and card-network obligations, to prevent fraud, and to support and improve the service. Each purpose rests on a lawful basis under the GDPR — contract, legal obligation, or legitimate interest.

4. Controller vs processor

For your end customers' payment data, you are the controller and Mavenkopay is your processor under our Data Processing Addendum. For your own account and for regulatory KYC, Mavenkopay acts as an independent controller.

5. Where data lives

EU personal data is processed and stored in EU regions — Paris and Frankfurt primaries, Stockholm failover. Any transfer outside the EEA relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep KYC and transaction records for the period required by financial regulation (generally up to ten years), and other personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to legal limits, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. We respond to verified requests within one month.

8. Sub-processors

We use vetted sub-processors for acquiring, cloud hosting and identity verification, each bound by data-protection terms. The current list is available on request and updated with at least 30 days' notice of changes.
